About Catherine and Her Art Journey

 

 As an endlessly curious artist driven by a passion for learning and exploring new techniques and subjects, I find inspiration in creating art that reflects the beauty of my surroundings, particularly the stunning Ozarks. Currently, I'm immersed in a series titled "Painting the Ozarks," where I interpret this landscape with vibrant, unexpected colors in bold, abstract forms. Using acrylics, collage, mixed media, and expressive mark-making, I aim to capture not just what I see, but also the emotions evoked by these landscapes. Beyond nature, my artistic interests extend to florals, horses, and human figures, approached in a non-realistic yet expressive manner.
